While researching all manner of things related to starting a food blog (any blog for that matter) I’ve realised quite how many there are out there.  So many food lovers, eaters, cooks, bakers, chocolatiers, critics and chefs – yes, of course – but also food photographers.

I confess that the art of food photography is completely new to me, but is a creative endeavour that I shall strive to improve at as I go.  It is a passion all of its own; learning to capture the beauty that we all see in the object of our heart’s (and stomach’s) desire.  I am only just beginning to appreciate the importance of a good food photo, despite being addicted to cookery books for as long as I can remember.  And, like most subjects, the more you learn the more you realise how little you know. There are many elements involved in creating a good food photo – sadly, making good food is the least of them!

So, in summary, I’m aware of my ineptitude in this area, but please bear with me, I’ll get better.

Hey you rude! How come I only find out about this via Maelyn’s post on FB?! Didn’t you know that your Psychic Sister is writing her very first post for her new blog too?! Spooky! (But not really ;-)). The Sticky Fig is looking great, darlin, and I am all signed up and looking forward to your next post. Have a super weekend poppet! xxx

Hi Mark, thanks for your comment and for printing off the recipe – I hope you enjoy it! I really appreciate you sharing this link too – I need all the help I can get 🙂 I have a great book and have read lots online, but sometimes it’s the short, concise pointers that really hit home. Thanks so much!
