While researching all manner of things related to starting a food blog (any blog for that matter) I’ve realised quite how many there are out there. So many food lovers, eaters, cooks, bakers, chocolatiers, critics and chefs – yes, of course – but also food photographers.
I confess that the art of food photography is completely new to me, but is a creative endeavour that I shall strive to improve at as I go. It is a passion all of its own; learning to capture the beauty that we all see in the object of our heart’s (and stomach’s) desire. I am only just beginning to appreciate the importance of a good food photo, despite being addicted to cookery books for as long as I can remember. And, like most subjects, the more you learn the more you realise how little you know. There are many elements involved in creating a good food photo – sadly, making good food is the least of them!
So, in summary, I’m aware of my ineptitude in this area, but please bear with me, I’ll get better.
